Good Girl

Discrimination at the workplace leads a once timid and excessively nice employee to take matters into her own hands as a digital vigilante, teaching her colleagues a lesson they won’t forget.

Mary Yeo is bold, direct and opinionated. But that’s online Mary. Real-life Mary is an excessively nice, lunch-at-her-desk kind of gal. When a managerial position opens up at the antivirus software company she’s dedicated her twenties to, she’s confident she has it in the bag. That is until she bumps into charismatic new hire, Joe. His role? The new manager. She’s been passed over for some inexperienced, smooth-talking white guy. It’s the final nail in the coffin after years of being the company’s doormat. In a blind rage, she compiles a colour-coded spreadsheet of everyone who has ever wronged her at the company. And at the top of her list is Joe.

Becoming something of a digital vigilante, Mary reverts to her weapon of choice: the internet. What starts as petty pranks to expose her coworker's ineptitude quickly spirals into planting false information. She’s gotten big, bold, addicted to the power – and Joe’s onto her. With her job on the line, in a final confrontation between the two they, somehow, find common ground. Maybe, they could even be friends. But fuck friendship. Mary frames all of her online antics on Joe, choosing to get ahead over connection. Now the manager, Mary looks over the empty workplace, finally, getting exactly what she deserves.
